My Beautiful little Princess's Fourth Birthday Party

On Saturday we had a party for Miss H's fourth Birthday.  She had an absolute Ball.  It amazes me how time just seems to pass us by so quickly, I remember the day I brought her home from hospital as a newborn, now she's a really "little Miss", so grown up and I'm loving every minute of it (well I could do away with the odd tears and tantrums :)).

Between all the running around and hosting the party, I was able to take a photo or two.

I had been meaning to join a group called the Newcastle Sundance Group (on Flickr) for a while now.  They organize meets at various places for sunrises or sunsets.  Finally today I joined them, and was glad to finally meet some of them.  They all seem like a very nice bunch of people and I look forward to attending more meets....but probably when the weather gets warmer, it was freezing!  I also need alot more practice as alot of my photos didn't turn out, or well I wasn't happy with them.  Here is one that I'm slightly pleased with.

Master C finally agreed to have some photos taken today, his enthusiasm just didn't last very long unfortunately.  Anyway I captured what I could so I could have a bit of a play around with Elements.

After purchasing her new red skirt, of course I had to have some fun with the Camera, and Miss H as usual was very willing.  While we were down visiting friends and family, I stopped by a park (very briefly, and I mean briefly - 5mins) and let Miss H have a run around. Unfortunately Master C was sick with the flu and very patiently sat in the car while I snapped away.

I've also post processed these in PSE.  Trying to learn a few different applications etc,  I'm not sure what my style is yet, if there is one style to have.

Today Hayley was in the mood for having her photo taken and I am on the mend, so have started to get my motivation and desire again to take as many photos as I can.  I definately love portrait photography and would love to be one day be good enough to start my own business.   So I am fortunate to have at least one child who is comfortable in front of the camera, giving me the opportunity to practice.

My gorgeous sister asked me today where is my FOTD? well one I've been sick for the past week and so basically I have had no motivation but also have decided not to continue to have one each day, when I do take photos which is on most days, I can't decide on just one, so this one is for you Nat, a macro of a sea shell, now I just have to find some gorgeous looking shells, preferably found, not bought.
