Creative Craft Sunday
Unfortunately Master C was struck down with the dreaded stomach bug/flu this weekend. While looking after my little man (and of course surviving on not much sleep) I entertained Miss H on Sunday as we could not enjoy the beautiful weather we had outside. The day started with painting pictures, then doing mosaics and of course playing in our backyard while Master C slept. Here are some images I captured on the weekend.

Wednesday
Today I met up with a fellow flickr photographer and had some fun over at Glenrock Falls near Dudley. Unfortunately they were more of a trickle than a 'fall' today, but still enjoyed trying to capture what we could. It was actually a busy day for me today in regards to photography, as both children were in school I spent the morning in the National Park, then a very brief visit to Fort Scratchley (it was blowing a gale)...then with the kids fed, I ventured off to Merewether Baths to capture the moonrise that was to occur after 6pm...unfortunately I was called back home before 6. My son had injured himself while playing wrestling on the lounge with fellow family members. I was not impressed although relieved that he was okay and it was probably more of a scare than anything else. Anyway here are some of the images I captured today, I took plenty so there will be more to come.

I heart Faces - Weekly Competition, Beach Fun
This weeks Theme is "Beach Fun". I decided to enter this image I captured of my children and their cousins having fun at the beach, it was late afternoon on Easter Saturday - the weather was nice, but I'd say the water was just a little cold. In this image, you can see them running up to the water - and if the kids had their choice they would have gone in fully clothed I'd say....but no, they did turn around just in time, while only a getting 'slightly' wet of course.

Using my ND8 Filter
I finally got my lens cleaned a few weeks back, so I decided to take the opportunity this afternoon and head out to Newcastle Beach. Unfortunately it was not a stunning sunset, too much cloud in the sky but I still had a little fun with the filter and even got my feet wet. Oh, and by the way the water was warm, I can't wait for summer!

Book Parade
Today Master C's school celebrated Education Week. It was an open day for parents/visitors and the students got the chance to dress up in their favourite book character for their annual Book Parade. After much deliberation, Cameron decided to go as Ben 10 for the second time again. Of course I thought he was very handsome and yes I am allowed to be a doting mum :).

Beautiful Friends
I was lucky enough to meet up with a long time very close friend and her daughter today. Even though we only see each other a couple of times a year or less, we talk as though we see each other every other week. It was alot of fun and definately wish we could see each other more often. Here are some Pics I took of Miss M today, unfortunately it was midday (probably the worst time to take photos), but it warmed up a lovely winters day. And of course, an image of Miss H...

Visiting Family
On Saturday I headed down to my parents house in the Blue Mountains to pick up my children. They had been staying there for a couple of days while my husband and I attended a family wedding. While I was down there I took the opportunity to spend the night there so I could catch up with my parents. Here are some images I captured whilst on a short 'bushwalk' with my dad and my children. It definately brought back memories of the times when I was a very young girl, who did a lot of bushwalking and playing in caves with a childhood friend...not quite sure if I'd allow that to happen these days with my children. Times are definately much different than they were when I was growing up.

Beautiful Winter Weather
We were finally blessed with some beautiful sunshine yesterday, the sun was shining, not a lot of wind and I think it actually reached 20 degrees! As Master C was in school and Miss H was in Preschool I took the opportunity to go for a walk, something I promised myself that I would do at least every second day. Seems I must of had my fingers crossed when I said this, as it seems along time ago when I last walked. Anyway hopefully I'll get back onto my fitness regime now or sooner than later anyway, this winter weather just makes me really want to hibernate! Of course I couldn't go out without my camera tagging along, so here are some images I captured on Wednesday.

Wild Weather on the Coast
The weather we have been experiencing today is both frustrating and awful but at the same time I think its beautiful. It shows how mother nature can be ferocious but magnificent! The ocean was wild and of course I couldn't resist not trying to capture Newcastle baths overflowing from the large swell. I now concede that I do think I am totally obsessed with taking photos.
